Alberta Feed Grain is one of the largest licensed feed grain suppliers in Alberta and we pride ourselves on being the most convenient market for your grain. Over the years we have built a strong customer base and we're continuing to grow. Here's what sets us apart in the marketplace:
We're a buyer, not a broker
We’re a primary grain elevator just like the big players, but with small business customer service and attention to detail. We offer in-house trucking, drying, cleaning and even grain vac rentals for a seamless process that fits your needs and your schedule. Commodities come back to our facilities, so we'll also gladly pick up split loads.
We are licensed and bonded by the Canadian Grains Commission (CGC) with facilities that are specially designed to handle grain of any moisture content.
Our grading stations are built to CGC standards, right down to the lights we use, the colours of the walls, and customer counters that are open and transparent so our customers always see what’s happening.
Never reject a load
No moisture is too high for us, and there are no problems we aren’t willing to handle. That's because we know the market and we have strong connections so we’ll come up with a solution for you no matter what your grain challenge may be.
We always try to have an extra trailer on hand in case there is a surprise on a load so growers have time to consider their options without being under pressure to pay waiting time while a truck is waiting. We can simply grab another trailer and keep on going.
Competitive pricing
We aim to have a competitive discount and are often the lowest in the industry. Talk to our buyer about our current averaging programs. With great blending capability, we go over and above the industry standards to pass on savings to the farmer.
We promise to be transparent and straightforward when bidding on your grain, as no one likes surprises once the grain arrives at the destination. Not only will we offer you a competitive price for your grain, but we will pick up your grain, find a great market, book a grain vac and even dry your grain if necessary. Don't have a full load? Doesn't matter. We will find a neighbor to fill the rest.
We aim to have the lowest discounts in the industry for wet grain and will usually average moisture and shrink over the whole contract. We also buy, off-type grains such as heated, spring thresh, light, and damaged. Talk to our grain buyer for details.
Fast payment
We know that fast payment is important for farm cash flows, so we make sure we pay in two to three days. If requested, we will even make payment on the spot.
We are the guys that send an "advance" cheque with the truck when requested just to give customers added peace of mind.
